This phenomenon is appearing throughout the world in various cultures. Researchers are keeping track of the awareness of these young people. They are called Indigo-children because indigo is the color of awareness.
Our ideas about education, school and manners make it almost impossible to recognize Indigo-children and take them seriously. Often their behavior collides with the values and standards of our society. Hyperactive children for example, if they are not given medicine, only with much adult effort can achieve a place in high school. Because Indigo-children are sensitive to sensory and extrasensory stimulation, such as the emotions of others, they seem easily distracted.
